1988/3Magazine Vol. 3 No. 1 / March 1988Medieval London Artefacts find a place at Singleton / Last year at the London waterfront excavations a piece of wood was found which is identified as part of a late medieval wheelbarrow. It is being preserved in the Portsmouth Museum, and a drawing based on it will be used by Roger Champion to make a replica wheelbarrow for Bayleaf.

Ian Tyers has dated the following: attic floorboards from Reigate, early 17th century; wall plates from Cowfold Barn, winter of 1535-36. He was unsuccessful with Horsham shop and Winkhurst.

1988/3Magazine Vol. 3 No. 1 / March 1988Publicity at Shows and Parades / There are two ways of getting remote publicity: the Caravan; the turnout of William and his timber wagon, usually accompanied by Bob Robinson's Shire horses with one of our Sussex wagons.
This year the latter will be at the Regents Park Parade on Easter Monday and the May Parade in Portsmouth. At the South of England Show we will be displaying modern and traditional methods of charcoal burning.

The other winners were CARE Project Countryside Playscheme Barnsley, Giant's Causeway Centre and Explore Surrey's Countryside.
