1999/4Magazine / Spring 1999The Museum has 200 volunteers / Organising the 200 volunteers is a mammoth task. Carol Brinson is co-ordinating the production of a volunteer tour guide's handbook. Three special Guide Training Days led by Jon Roberts and Roger Champion have been arranged. Geraldine Smith, Bernadine Saunders, Clive Boddington, John Sagues and Diana Buxton will enable the library to be open. The livestock section is supported by a team of volunteers led by Peter Albon and Pete Betsworth.
1999/4Magazine / Spring 1999Re-building 16th century Poplar Cottage. / The framework of Poplar Cottage will be re-erected on 10-12 April in memory of Roy Armstrong. The cottage was built of oak and elm between 1550 and 1630. The framework has been repaired by Roger Champion. It has a smoke bay.
